Gnucash-2.4 released with MySQL backend

On 21 December 2010, the Gnucash team finally released Gnucash-2.4. According to the official release announcement, "the latest stable release of the GnuCash Free Accounting Software. With this new release series, GnuCash can use an SQL database using SQLite3, MySQL or PostgreSQL. It runs on GNU/Linux, *BSD, Solaris, Microsoft Windows and Mac OSX."

As I am using Debian at home and at work, I did build Debian packages for Debian Squeeze for amd64 and i386.

Please use at your own risk - and don't report bug reports to me.

They can be downloaded at:

I hope the official Debian packages will be made available by the package maintainer soon through the usual Debian repositories. I will not keep doing this once there are official packages. My motivation for these packages was that I needed them for my own use...
